What brought you to Savannah?
“We have visited Savannah seven times from the Asheville, NC area and love the city and the hospitality of the Inn on West Liberty. The architecture and the ease of walking in the historic district strike you right away. The live oaks with the Spanish moss convey you to the Old South of classic movies.”

What were the highlights of your stay in Savannah?
“Many mansion tours are offered and we can recommend them. We never miss The Olde Pink House Restaurant and the scored, broiled flounder entrée. Vic’s on the River is another favorite dinner stop after you have perused all the shops at the cobblestone riverfront. The interesting historic squares you will walk through are points of interest and photo opportunities. Ghost tours as darkness falls are popular and informative. We discovered the tour of ancient Bonaventure Cemetery on our last visit and saw the grave of Johnny Mercer among others. If the weather is warm we drive 45 minutes up to Hilton Head, use the public Coligny Beach, and eat at popular Hudson’s seafood, get there early.”

“We have a hundred photos going back to 2019 and I could go on and on but go see for yourself and enjoy the slow and gracious pace of Savannah. The welcoming Inn on West Liberty with its beautifully restored rooms, fine breakfast, and capable staff led by Patty the owner is the only place we would stay.”
