As summer gives way to fall and the temperature starts to drop, take a trip to where it’s warmer with fall getaways in Savannah, GA. Leave the bulky winter clothes behind and see everything this beautiful city has to offer with a stay at our Savannah, GA bed and breakfast. We’ve put together a handy guide to get you started with five ideas on what to do while you’re here, that way you can spend less time planning and more time having fun!

1. Take a Self-Guided Historic Home Tour
Savannah has a history going back hundreds of years, and one of the elements that make the area we are in so unique is the historical homes near the Inn, all within a half-mile in fact! Easily walkable and right nearby, you can fit them into a daily itinerary and see them on the way to other activities, all while connecting you with the city’s roots. A must for history and architecture buffs, you can explore the houses of people like Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts of America, and other historical figures that had an impact on the Savannah of today. Take a self-guided tour and check out some of the best in the area to get you on your way.

2. Have Your Own Oktoberfest
There’s nothing quite like a cold glass of beer, especially if it’s a delicious microbrew, and Savannah has a wide variety of breweries to choose from for a personalized Oktoberfest experience. A few, like Crystal Beer Parlor and Moon River Brewing Company, are within walking distance of the inn, so a good time is never very far away! You can’t go wrong with a curated selection of some of the best in the area, and we highly recommend a visit to all of them if you have the time, with original flavors and distinctly “Savannah” versions of classic favorites like Pilsners, IPAs, and much more!

3. See Savannah’s Spooky Side
Over the years, our fair city has garnered a bit of a reputation for the supernatural, and tales of the unearthly abound. Much of this is due to Savannah’s many cemeteries and the stories of sightings that have persisted throughout its history. Take the incredible opportunity to dig into the city’s ethereal heart and embark on a ghost tour with The Dead of Night or 6th Sense World. Both offer excellent ghost tours that delve into Savannah’s darker history with plenty of walking and sightseeing along the way.

4. Set Sail On a Boat Tour
See more of Savannah from a new perspective with a trip on Captain Derek’s Dolphin Adventure Tour and discover majestic sea life in their natural habitat. Not just bottle-nosed dolphins, but also sea turtles, coastal birds, and other aquatic creatures can make an appearance depending on ocean conditions and time of day. They also offer sunset tours, the perfect way to spend an evening after a long day of seeing the sights. Imagine a romantic sunset cruise with dolphins swimming and playing alongside the boat, a truly unforgettable moment. Make that moment extra special with our Sail Off Into the Sunset package which includes two tickets for a sunset tour as well as a delectable packaged picnic with charcuterie favorites, fresh cheese and fruits, and a fine bottle of wine to commemorate the occasion.

5. Explore the City on Two Wheels
One of the best ways to see more Savannah is on a bike. The city is well-suited to bicycles with plenty of trails, even ground, and places to lock up for further exploration on foot. It’s a great way to stay active and get farther than just walking with so much of the city to see, even without a car! We have a couple of bikes here at the inn that are available for use, but do keep in mind that these are first come/first serve, and if they are not available then we encourage guests to rent from Savannah on Wheels for all their cycling needs.

Stay in Comfortable Accommodations
